Sprunica Church before the Belfry was added. The nice wire fence is completely gone now. The cemetery is maintained regularly by the township trustee. The church remains standing but unused.
Stonehugger, Inc. was hired in 2015-16-17 to restore all of the historical tombstones and monuments. Some damage was caused by massive limbs and by time. The oldest known grave is dated 1872 on a child's monument. County records were destroyed when the court house burned in 1872.
In the summer of 2019 the Hemlock pictured to the right of center had grown to over 90 feet tall. Lightening had struck it several times; once blowing out one of the three or four tops onto the cemetery and barely missing the corner of the church. Most of one side of the tree had no life causing concern for the tombstones and monuments. An arborist was hired to cut the Hemlock and another tree struck by lightning, a completely dead Beech Tree.
